Centrally positioned on the Hoe, but a stone’s throw from the site of Sir Francis Drake’s famous game of bowls. We are within 5 minutes walk from the city centre shops and Theatre Royal,and only 3 minutes from the Pavilions. Plymouth Registry Office is only a minute away and we are roughly the same distance from the sea itself! The Barbican is walkable in 10 minutes, as is the Brittany ferries port; where regular ferries to Roscoff and Santander can be found.
You will find a very warm welcome for all at the family-run Riviera B&B. Awarded a significant 3 stars by the AA, the establishment’s fine staircase leads to 11 bright and airy guest bedrooms set on four floors, whilst the informal bar and guest lounge make for a comfortable and homely atmosphere to relax and unwind after the day’s sightseeing or business meeting. Each bedroom has a Freeview colour television, a radio/alarm clock and a hair-drier. Tea/coffee-making facilities are also provided. A hearty breakfast is included in the room rate and vegetarian meals are provided on request.
Flasks can be made up for day trips on request for £2.00. Likewise, a variety of sandwiches are also available, but requires a minimum of 12 hours notice. For walkers we provide a service for forwarding on their luggage. We are also able to dry wet clothes. Guests are provided with a set of keys that allow them access at any time during their stay.
We are one of the few guest houses to be VAT registered, and all our prices therefore include VAT at the current rate. Therefore, if your company is also VAT registered you can re-claim all the VAT on your Riviera receipts.
